What is Holistic Puppy education (it’s not only training)?
Holistic Puppy Training is a trauma-informed, secure attachment-based education and care approach. We follow a mind/body/spirit and do-no-harm training and puppy-rearing philosophy. We believe that dogs, just like us, are sentient beings that deserve to be treated with respect. They should be allowed to express their emotions and live in a healthy, stress-free, species-appropriate environment.
Our unique holistic approach works with any dog, no matter what breed or gender, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all model. It balances each dog's mind, body, and spirit, and gives you the tools and knowledge to address complex behaviors that are often based on trauma or attachment issues, miscommunication, and the dog’s unmet needs.

Beyond Classical conditioning
Most puppy classes focus on teaching a dog basic cues like “sit,” “come,” and “stay,” which is only a small portion of what a puppy needs to learn to become a well-adjusted dog who can form healthy attachments and have good problem solving skills. Instead of focusing on creating a relationship, they teach you how to troubleshoot. The holistic approach will help you raise your pup so troubleshooting things like separation anxiety and destructive behavior aren’t necessary.
Our philosophy centers around the principles of Do No Harm, attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention, the least intrusive effective behavior intervention (LIEBI), fostering independent thinking, and troubleshooting skills in both the puppy and their human companion.
